Mikhail specializes in supporting projects in the field of corporate law, real estate, foreign economic activity, and litigation. He provides comprehensive advising to foreign investors on business operations in Russia and the CIS.

Since 2007, Mikhail has been engaged in comprehensive advising of Russian and foreign companies on business operations in Russia and the CIS. As a part of the legal practice team of the BDO international consulting group, he participated in legal due diligence, as well as in comprehensive legal advising of such companies as Sevmorneftegaz LLC, Shtokman Development AG, Central Asia Gold AB, and NLMK JSC.

During this time, Mikhail organized and carried out full legal support for the projects in the structuring of transactions for the sale and purchase of large assets in Russia and Ukraine, including real estate, stocks and shares in commercial organizations. The projects in the field of reorganization and optimization of taxation of dividends of international holding structures have been successfully completed under the leadership of Mikhail.

Mikhail has a diverse successful experience of judicial representation in the courts of general jurisdiction and arbitration courts under the cases involving the application of foreign law, disputes arising from the commercial activities of enterprises, insolvency (bankruptcy) processes.

From 2012 to 2014, Mikhail held the position of partner in the law firm Breeva, Yemelyanov & Partners. As part of the team, Mikhail was engaged in advising clients working in the electric power industry and in the field of real estate development.

Since 2012, Mikhail has also been acting as an independent asset manager for private clients working in the field of development and operation of commercial real estate in Russia and Ukraine. He supervised the erection of electric power facilities in the Moscow region on the customer’s side.

From 2014 to 2017, Mikhail created a multidisciplinary law firm Element-LM. Being head of Element-LM, Mikhail directly consulted the firm’s clients. Over the years, more than 200 projects have been successfully completed under Mikhail’s leadership, including more than 100 court cases.

Industry experience: sale, purchase and rent of real estate, development; logistics and transport, mining (oil, gas, gold), foreign trade (including export-import transactions), wholesale and distribution (including personal computers, telephones, and luxury goods), retail.

Mikhail is fluent in English.

 

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL ACHIVEMENTS:

In 2016, he became the Winner of the XI All-Russian Professional Competition LEGAL RUSSIA in the COMPETITIVE LAW nomination.

In 2012, he was awarded the international degree of LLM in Commercial Law with distinction (The University of Manchester, UK). Mkhail’s master’s study is dedicated to the legal nature of general meetings of members of legal entities.

In 2012, after graduating with honors from the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences, he received the Master of Jurisprudence qualification (specialization – Business Law, Commercial Law).

In 2009, he became the Winner of the IV All-Russian Professional Competition LEGAL RUSSIA in the CIVIL LAW nomination.

In 2008, he graduated with honors from the Dubna International University; department of jurisprudence; specialty: Jurisprudence.
